Is it time to call a tree service in Friendswood to remove that old tree? It can be a painful choice to make, but sometimes the tree gets too close to the house, gets too diseased, gets an incurable infestation of some pest, or grows too tall and gets close to a power line. If any of these things occur, its best to do the right thing and get rid of the tree. Although you might have spent hours and hours getting the tree to where it is today, it is almost dishonorable to the tree to allow it to suffer in bad conditions.
Our tree removal service will plan it out, climb up the tree and tie two long ropes near the top. Anchor them on the opposite side of the one that we want it to fall towards. This will allow us to adjust the direction the tree is being lowered in, just in case it starts leaning towards anything it could destroy.

Once the tree is down, stump removal can be slightly more difficult. We have several choices; use a stump chipper that will completely destroy the visible section of the stump. Or we can dig it out. Digging out the stump is much more thorough, but takes time. You can choose to do this yourself or have the family help. If you have kids this shouldn’t be a problem. Kids often find the thought of digging fun, and are excited to go outside and dig all day long with their friends.
How to Quickly and Easily Remove Large Tree Stumps From Your Landscape
A huge amount of technical bearing data and procedure is offered by most bearing manufacturers. If you are like me, you simply do not have the time, patience, or interest, in wading through all of this information, with cost effectiveness being unsupported by the frequent need to outsource bearing maintenance, but yet do have an interest in running cost reduction for your tree stump grinder. Replacement bearings cost over £100 each, and represent a large portion of overall machine maintenance costs. This guide is meant for those who wish to reduce cost by increasing bearing service life. Bearing failure or premature bearing wear on stump grinders is mainly due to inadequate maintenance of clean lubricant. I use a pneumatic grease dispenser driven by an air compressor at each days end of stump grinding, with a grease top up, out in the field, using a conventional hand-held grease pump. I use a great deal of grease but it is far cheaper than replacement bearings. When I re-grease bearings, I thoroughly purge out the contaminated grease, until clean grease exudes from the bearing. A high melting point EP-2 grease is essential. I prefer a molybdenum disulphide (moly) enriched EP-2 complex grease because it is a heavy-duty grease. So, to sum up this paragraph, there are three principles of maximizing bearing life insofar as lubricants are concerned:
- select the correct grease
- apply the correct grease properly e.g in the correct quantity
- re-grease frequently
It is unfortunate for all stump grinder operators, that by the time a bearing knocks, rumbles, or noticeably heats up, it is shortly on its way to failure. There is no practical way for the average owner / operator to accurately judge the length of serviceable time remaining in a stump grinders bearing while out in the field.
From this viewpoint, I am making an attempt to try to collect some useable data out in the field, which may prove to be a practical and inexpensive way to monitor bearing serviceability. I will be installing thermocouples (heat sensors) to the bearings. If a running average temperature gradient can be established, it may prove helpful to those stump grinders who are concerned with maximizing their machines bearing life, by simply adjusting up their bearings, when its temperature rise indicates time to do so. This will require some effort on the part of those interested. They too will need to fit thermocouples to their bearings to monitor temperature as the only cost-effective, and practical way to know when to adjust up their bearings.
This effort will be totally negated if a strict and sufficient re-greasing program is not maintained. What would be the point of regular, timely, bearing adjustments, if the bearings regularly ran in a bed of contaminated grease. I think the reader will agree, is a total waste of time and effort.

Tree Trimming Equipment
Trees are prevalent in almost every region of the planet. They do much to enrich the lives of us humans; they provide food, material for building, and even various types of medicine. The main drawback with trees is that -- unlike a cat or dog -- they are not easy to domesticate. A tree will shoot up wherever its seed happens to land, and it will grow until something gets in its way. Fortunately, there are many companies now that specialize in tree removal and other related services.
Tree services are best known for their most-requested function: removing trees that have become dangerous in some way. They're professionals at this task, able to do it quickly, safely, and efficiently. They can remove all or part of a tree, and they have the license, insurance, and bonding that they need to minimize the risk to the people that hire them.
Whether it's because of a windstorm or a tree beetle or just old age, eventually every tree dies. When that sad day comes, it's time to quietly and efficiently eliminate the tree's corpse, lest it threaten your home or your life. No matter how large, how leaning, or how crowded, a quality tree service will have the equipment and expertise they need to remove your tree.
No matter what stage your trees are in, there's something that qualified tree services can do to help it get -- and stay -- healthy and strong for as long as it can. We encourage everyone with a tree on their property to have it inspected once a year -- and anyone with an orchard or other income-oriented tree farm to have a professional look it over once each season. The tree you save may be your own!
Stump Grinding - DIY Vs. Hiring The Experts
Hiring a tree service provider can be quite expensive most especially if you are just an average guy working to pay a lot of bills. It can also be quite a problem if you can't pay the bills on time given the amount of salary you are receiving. If you will be hiring a company to take care of your trees, you might want to consider some factors that affect the cost of their services. Here are some factors that determine the cost of the tree service you will be availing.
The Service You Will Be Availing
The cost depends on the service you are availing. If you are only hiring a tree service to help you with tree identification or pest control then it would be much cheaper than having a pruning service, tree removal or tree moving service. Make sure you know what specific service you will need for your trees before hiring one. It will help give you an idea how much would the service cost and how much money you should prepare.
There are some situations where service providers have a different rate when it comes to how urgent you want the job to be done. You are not their only clients and if ever you will be asking them to finish the job or prioritize your needs first, then you might pay a little higher than the normal rate. This is because they need to bypass their other clients before you just to make sure that the urgent job you need gets to be done and it won't be fair for them if they won't get any compensation for the trouble of explaining why the other client have been by passed.
The Experience of the Provider
Some tree service provider's charges a lot more than others. The reason behind this is their experience being in business for a couple of years which makes them more efficient in performing the service that need to be done. They have also encountered a lot of problems that made them devise different trouble shooting method in order to make the job a lot smoother. You can also try hiring some inexperienced service providers just make sure they really know what they are doing and that you won't end up paying another provider to redo the job that was supposed to be done by the first service provider.
